A good solar power system is the result of a disciplined process and people working in the right roles. This chapter walks through the four phases of a project (from survey to operation), details the survey and installation procedures, and describes the responsibilities and skills of each role on a solar team.

This chapter contains a critical safety correction relative to the original source. The OCR of the installation document dropped the word “Not”, turning the prohibition “Do not run DC and AC wiring in the same conduit” into a permissive statement. The refined layer restores the correct safety rule: DC and AC wiring must be run separately.
