Vận hành, TOU & quản lý năng lượngOperation, TOU & energy management

Biểu giá theo giờ, lịch sạc xả, giờ nắng đỉnh, hành vi dùng điện, tự tiêu thụ và giám sát hệ.Time-of-use tariffs, charge/discharge scheduling, peak-sun hours, self-consumption and monitoring.

Installing a solar energy system is only half the story. The other half is operating it in a way that genuinely saves money. This chapter covers time-of-use electricity tariffs, peak sun hours and the daily charge-discharge schedule, customer load behavior, and how to monitor the system and avoid operating mistakes that erode savings.

For: sales staff building savings proposals for customers, technicians configuring and monitoring systems, and newcomers who need to understand system operation.

Note on current electricity pricing

The tariff rates and time windows in this chapter follow decisions issued in 2025 and 2026, including the new time-of-use windows under Decision 963 effective 22 April 2026. Electricity prices are adjusted periodically, so always check the current EVN tariff schedule before calculating customer savings.

Quick Summary

Time-of-use tariffs divide the day into three windows (off-peak, normal, and peak), and the price gap between peak and off-peak is the biggest opportunity for a battery to generate financial value. Under the new time windows, off-peak runs from midnight through early morning, and peak falls in the evening.

Peak Sun Hours (PSH) is the equivalent number of hours at standard irradiance intensity, and it determines energy yield. PSH varies across Vietnam: the South has the highest values while the North is noticeably lower, a point that original materials often overlook.

The core operating strategy is to charge the battery at low-rate hours or from solar surplus, then discharge during the evening peak. Regular monitoring and avoiding a handful of common mistakes are what keep savings intact.
