Introduction

SolaX Power is a Chinese inverter manufacturer listed on the Shanghai STAR Market (ticker 688717.SS), positioned in the mid-range segment with the G4 generation as its current flagship line. What sets it apart from competitors in the same segment is support for PV oversizing up to 200% and the ability to parallel-stack multiple inverters to scale system capacity.

History & Scale

The company was officially registered in 2012 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, growing rapidly in the European market before expanding into Southeast Asia. SolaX is listed on the Shanghai STAR Market and has an increasingly broad distribution network in Vietnam, particularly through solar equipment distributor channels.

Core Technology

The G4 line was completely redesigned compared to its predecessor, achieving three-phase efficiency of up to 98.2% and a wide three-phase MPPT voltage range of 180–950 V. The Triple Power battery (high-voltage LFP) integrates tightly with SolaX inverters via CAN communication, supporting automatic cell-level balancing. The 200% oversizing feature is especially useful in low-irradiance regions or rooftops with partial shading, maximizing energy yield during morning and late-afternoon hours.

Product Lineup

• X1-Hybrid G4 (single-phase, 3.0–7.5 kW): residential use, the widest single-phase range in its segment, with 200% PV oversizing support.
• X3-Hybrid G4 (three-phase, 5–15 kW): villas and small offices, MPPT range 180–950 V, maximum phase imbalance of 5 kW per phase.

Both lines support parallel stacking, allowing system capacity to be expanded without replacing the inverter.

Positioning in Vietnam

SolaX is well suited for projects requiring flexible future expansion (parallel stacking) or rooftops with unfavorable orientations and uneven irradiance (benefiting from 200% oversizing). Compared to Deye 48 V systems, SolaX’s high-voltage architecture offers advantages in leaner battery cabling and lower losses.
