Introduction

Pytes (Shanghai PYTES Energy Co., Ltd.) is a LiFePO4 energy storage brand founded in 2004 in Shanghai, specializing in the open low-voltage rack-mount battery segment for residential and small commercial systems. A key differentiator: Pytes operates a manufacturing plant in Vietnam, an advantage in lead times and after-sales support compared to purely imported brands.

History & Scale

Starting in 2004 with residential storage solutions, Pytes expanded into the North American, European, and Southeast Asian markets. The company serves customers in more than 60 countries and has established branches, offices, and manufacturing facilities across multiple regions, including Vietnam, shortening the supply chain for the domestic market. The E-Box series is its flagship residential lineup and has been continuously updated across generations.

Core Technology

The E-Box 48100R uses LiFePO4 cells in a standard 2.6U rack enclosure, with a nominal voltage of 51.2 V and a capacity of 5.12 kWh (100 Ah). The maximum charge/discharge current of 50 A (C/2) is compatible with the vast majority of mainstream hybrid inverters. The integrated BMS provides three layers of protection (LFP cells + proprietary BMS + mechanical design backed by over 20 years of experience). Full communication interfaces (RS232, RS485, and CAN) enable broad compatibility. UL9540/UL9540A and CEC certifications are strong selling points for export markets.

Product Lineup

The E-Box 48100R (5.12 kWh per unit) is the core model, with parallel expansion up to approximately 286 kWh as published by the manufacturer. Pytes also offers low-temperature variants (V5 Low Temperature series) for cold environments, a niche less common in Vietnam but valuable for export.

Positioning in Vietnam

With a manufacturing plant located in Vietnam, Pytes can supply the market faster than purely imported brands. It is a strong fit for single-phase residential systems requiring an open rack-mount battery, particularly when customers want a brand with an on-the-ground manufacturing presence. The strong UL certification portfolio is also an advantage for projects with export requirements or standards beyond CE.
