Introduction
LONGi is one of the world’s largest solar module manufacturers, with a development history rooted in monocrystalline cells. Its current flagship line, Hi-MO X10, uses HPBC (Hybrid Passivated Back Contact) back-contact technology, delivering efficiency of up to 24.1%, competing directly with AIKO ABC at the top end of the high-efficiency segment.
History & Scale
Founded in 2000 in Xi’an, Shaanxi, LONGi has been listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE, ticker 601012) since 2012. The company consistently leads or sits among the top global module manufacturers by output, holding Bloomberg Tier 1 status (Q1 2026) and numerous international certifications. Hi-MO X10 has received TÜV Rheinland Class A certification for shade tolerance, a practical advantage on rooftops with obstructions.
Core Technology
HPBC (Hybrid Passivated Back Contact) is LONGi’s back-contact variant: the electrodes are largely located on the rear surface, increasing the front light-collection area and improving surface passivation. The Pmax temperature coefficient of −0.26%/°C (better than TOPCon’s −0.29%/°C) means the panel handles heat better and loses less power during Vietnam’s summer midday sun. Annual degradation is approximately 0.35%, lower than mainstream TOPCon panels.
Product Lineup
The representative model is the LR7-72HVH 650W, a 72-cell, dual-glass panel with a power range of 630–650 W. Notably, it weighs ~28.5 kg, significantly lighter than 132-cell panels (38+ kg), making installation on sloped roofs more manageable. Its operating current of 14.59 A is at a moderate level, making inverter pairing easier than the high-current larger-format panels.
Positioning in Vietnam
LONGi Hi-MO X10 is well suited for customers who prioritize high efficiency and stable supply from a large-scale brand.
